Summary
Fate was never meant to be rewritten, but love refuses to follow the rules.
Diverging from the events of S1E41, when Sailor Moon saves Prince Endymion from the darkness that claimed him, fate begins to shift in ways no one could have predicted. With Endymion freed, a new path opens, one where the Sailor Guardians may be able to change not only their destiny, but the fate of the Shitennou Knights who once stood beside their master and the tragic end they were never meant to escape.

Then she meets a man, identical to the Doctor, calling himself John Smith. Is he the Doctor's Pete's World doppelganger, or has Rose somehow ended up back in the proper universe and stumbled upon the Doctor and his new companion? The Doctor sighed, wistfully remembering that very first trip out with Rose. She’d been flabbergasted at the mere concept of universal roaming, and the Doctor couldn’t help but smile as he recalled the delighted wonder in her tone. She could comprehend the sentient, telepathic time-and-space ship, but somehow the concept of advanced technical jiggery pokery baffled her--as if there were anywhere in the world he couldn’t get a silly little signal to.
Perhaps he should’ve considered something similar for Amy, prodded her to call Rory or something. Of course, he couldn’t have known they’d end up engaged, in his defense. And picking him up was just inherently better, wasn’t it? No need to upgrade the cell phones just yet--well, it could never hurt, just because one of them wasn’t stuck on Earth didn’t mean they wouldn’t need to call every once in a while--
As if there were anywhere in the world he couldn’t get a silly little signal to--

Summary
Rumi looks down. “Your soul,” she whispers mournfully, enraptured by the blue light trickling out of his chest. “It’s beautiful.”
Jinu smiles.
Gently, he presses his forehead against hers. Rumi jolts, eyes widening, but to his relief, she doesn’t pull away.
“My soul,” he echoes softly. “It’s yours, now.”
Rumi opens her mouth, but no words escape her as she gapes at him. A tear cascades down her cheek.
“It’s mine to give, and yours to take, if you’ll have me.” His vision is blurring, and so he lets his eyes fall shut, allowing the darkness to encompass him. He forces himself to believe that the lull of sleep is accepted of his own volition.
His cheeks tingle. Rumi is holding onto his face. “No, no, no—” she grits out. Her voice is growing distant. “Stop. You can’t do this to me.” The words rush out of her in a frenzy, full of haste and distress. “Jinu.”
“Rumi,” he responds in a broken murmur. “Thank you.”
She was right. Gwi-Ma could be defeated.
He should have listened to her.
(Or: A fix-it/time-travel au where Jinu goes back to the very beginning of the story and sets things right.)
