Not least of which are the many machinations of his brother, and the revelations about his best friend's true nature. But the Sundered Houses aren't going to wait for him to figure things out before they make their move, and so Hal and his friends have to act before he's really sure what any of it means.

The Schemers do their first dungeon delve, while Hal has conflicting thoughts about Bolaire. While told from Hal's point of view, the plot focuses largely on Bolaire's actions since that's what Hal is struggling with.

Severus sunk lower in his chair, staring witheringly over his butterbeer. "You told Potter about it, too?"
"He might as well put all that energy to good use," said Lily. "And, to be accurate, I told Remus."
"But Potter, really?" said Severus.
"He and Black cooked up a jinx that gives you a boil every time you say a slur to a Muggleborn," said Lily. "It was either invite them to Alice's war club or bake them cookies, and I know where my skills lie."
Severus sniffed. "Don't come crying to me if he tugs your pigtails."
"Come crying to me if he pulls yours, and I'll deck him," said Lily.
(Slight AU in which Severus apologizes, tries harder, and stays friends with Lily)

Summary
While on a mission post-Predathos, Orym suffers a grievous injury. Seedling's magic can heal him, but Ashton will have to go to extreme lengths to get it back - and it soon becomes clear that he lost more than just his arm in the fight. Orym, Dorian and Ashton lean on each other for reassurance in the aftermath.
(If I had a nickel for every time Orym lost and regrew a limb in one of my fics, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t much, but it sure is weird that it happened twice. But then they had to go and canonically give Seedling the ability to restore severed body parts. What was I supposed to do, really?)

There’s a scrambling sound as Zoro gets up. “I don’t need advice from a waiter.”
“Sort of sounds like you do, mate,” says Sanji. “Most of us master walking by the age of two or so but you seem to be having trouble.”
The strawhats are on a treasure hunt, which would be fine if Sanji wasn't incredibly hungover. The only bright spot is that Zoro's hangover is even worse.
Except in his case it turns out not to be a hangover...

“I feel…” And Ashton has to stop themself there for a moment. He felt remarkably fine, but he didn’t think he could really move, let alone get up or defend himself right now. That should make him angry. That should make him scared, too, which should make him really angry. But he wasn’t angry. The faun seemed. He wanted to think nice, but if she hung around him, she probably wasn’t. Not entirely, at least.
“Weird,” They settled on, “I feel weird.”
“Well, that’s okay,” She said, “You are weird, so.”
“You’re a little nervous, aren’t you-?” Ashton stalls again, hopes it sounds like a natural end to the sentence. He’s increasingly convinced he actually knows the faun, that her name is on the tip of his tongue but he can’t quite spit it out.
