She was sure that they were bruised, but she saw Elijah's ears fold back in an apologetic way, it was a cute sight even though he was much larger than her. She knew she shouldn't be here, but this place was much better than the place she's forced to call home. She exhaled shakily and walked towards him as he did the same, his head leaned forward until their foreheads met. She felt his tail brush against her healing ankle and smiled. This must be how Belle felt from Beauty and The Beast, despite how cruel the beast may be, she fell into the state that she could grow to love Elijah.

Summary
Mink becomes wary when he is told of a monster in a man's body murdered an entire police squad in full riot gear. He learns about Koujaku and his past, revealing his own in exchange. He follows Koujaku about, keeping an eye on him, feeling his spirit is troubled. He tries to help Koujaku let off some steam when the Yakuza and Scratch come into a fight. Both badly injured, Koujaku fought off his monstrous self to get Mink to safety. Mink trying to help Koujaku stay stable ends up in a situation he didn't think he'd find himself in. They can't erase each others' pasts, but they both equally need the help to overcome their tragedies.

If a person and their soulmate meet and stared into each other eyes, once they are ready to close and open them again, both of their eyes will changed back to the same color they were originally born with.
They both didn't want to meet their soulmate, but fate wouldn't allow that.
