Summary
Shen Yuan was aware of how much overlap there was in webnovels between flashbacks of horrifying abuse showing a character’s terrible backstory, and training montages showing a character’s remarkable improvement under a stern teacher. The System agrees that Shen Qingqiu giving particularly harsh training exercises to Luo Binghe would both fulfill the plot requirements and not be out of character.

Bruce can trace the Martian's contribution with the barest hint of the way the clone’s eye is shaped. Just an impression, a barest hint that would never be connected if Bruce hadn’t seen the files for himself.
Kal bites in a terrible sound that emits from somewhere in his chest, a pitched keen that makes the hair on Bruce’s neck stand straight up. “Where is he?”
