Without waiting for a reaction or reply, the man bore down on the gas and peeled down the highway, leaving Buck stranded in the middle of nowhere somewhere along Interstate 10.
And as Buck watched the red brake lights of his Jeep disappear into the distance, clutching his prescription of blood thinners tightly to his chest... there was really only one thing left to do.
