Summary
The Tourney of Harrenhal was the greatest Tourney of its time. Filled with intrigue, sport, and entertainment, the festivities lasted ten days. The stories you already know of Harrenhal are all great and marvelous, full of laughing knights and crying ladies. Full of white cloaks, blue roses, and dark tidings. There was jousting and fighting and dancing. It is one of these dances that you have perhaps heard of. A simple dance, between a shy second son, and the beautiful Lady Ashara Dayne.
But stories are not made in one night, and loves are not formed in one dance. It is the sum of those ten days that will tell you the story of those two young people. Those ten days at Harrenhal, and the story of love that never would be.

Ned Stark and Lady Dayne fall in love bit by bit, day by day. Not in the loud moments of great energy and passion. But the quiet ones in between.Series

Following a foolish yet fruitful dalliance between a betrothed Wild Wolf and a Starry maiden during the Tourney at Harrenhal, to thwart dishonour, a deceitful marriage between the Houses Dayne and Stark was arranged. From which Ashara Dayne and Eddard Stark's love was eventually and tentatively born.
Two years since that night, with a spiteful and boastful admission made by drunken Brandon Stark in front of his Tully wife and his father's vassals, that very deceit has come to haunt Ashara and taunt the honour of Ned.
Straight up angst... lol.
