Summary
Osamu Dazai’s life has been nothing short from a numbing experience. His life was carefully picked apart by his ‘beautiful’ father, Mori. Mori’s forbiddance for Dazai to exist as something other than a glimpse of perfection sent Dazai into a spiral of his own apathy and putrid ignorance to his real ‘emotions’. If he could even call them that. It was laughable, really.
While picking up an odd job after being fired from the last one for being caught in sexual relations with another staff member during working hours, Dazai meets one of the most sickeningly annoying people he’s ever known. Chuuya Nakahara. How could he be so determined while working at a convenience store? Dazai didn’t understand. But maybe he didn’t need to.

Summary

Not enough teen self inserts, this book is definately self indulgent, but there needs to be more depressed, sassy teenagers taking over Gregory's place. This "Reader self-insert" is more of an amalgamation of me, and other people that I know personally who are in the Fandom.
WARNING: Low key worried that the gore and dark shit may turn this work into a Mature rating. It's like pretty borderline. There WILL be gore and blood and all that. Just be warned and take care of yourselves <3
The canon divergence starts to show at chapter three, and there's some death and gore. There is constant angst but there's some fluff inbetween.

There are three different kinds of drunk Chuuya and people are mostly acquainted with the first two: loud and angry drunk, and loud and sad drunk. The third one, this one, is the quiet and stupid drunk. Needless to say, this is Dazai’s favorite kind not only because Chuuya is being extra cute but also because the chibi is being extra stupid. And being extra stupid means that Chuuya lets himself be extra vulnerable, one that Dazai absolutely cannot allow others to see.

Socialising was something Poe didn’t usually find to come to him easily. It never was his speciality—and yet, with Ranpo, it was so remarkably easy. So easy to let him lead the way.
