Summary
Chris remembers, suddenly, the days after his mom died, the feeling of dread that lingered under his skin. The way it slowly bubbled up, over the years, until he couldn’t be this kid anymore, this kid who could look at the world and not see danger in every corner. He wishes that Theo will never be like that. He knows, living with a first responder, that the odds of him turning out any other way are against him.
“Hey, Theo,” he says suddenly, the words spilling from his lips without permission. “Do you think Buck is your dad?”
Christopher isn't sure how he feels about Theo, or what he means for him and Buck. When they're caught up in a disaster alone, he has plenty of time to figure it out.

“Holy shit.” Carlos spoke first. “What does that even mean, mate?”

Just two weeks ago in Silverstone, it had felt like a fever dream — Nico on the podium and Gabriel had been there, front and center, cheering louder than anyone.
Now it was already Sunday in Spa and Nico was… different. Something had shifted, and Nico wasn’t meeting him halfway anymore.

"Dear Susanoo-kun-sama," that annoying voice had started again, flooding his head. He pronounced Susanoo as if it were two separate words, with a clear, deliberate pause after 'Su.' He probably thought it was so clever and funny. Well, if he continued like this, Sano was going to start being damn hilarious. "I can't decide which of these two sailor uniforms I should ask the principal for this month. They both have their own charm, of course, but..."
Kill yourself, Sano thought.
Or after Sano went back to Takamagahara with his brother and blocked everyone in class 2-3 including his homeroom teacher, Haruaki thinks of a way to (unilaterally) keep in touch.
