You decided to save some runaway kid living on said beach, which led to you seeing three heroes, including Thunderbolt, the Number Three Hero, commit a blatant case of heroic brutality if not a downright murder attempt on two children. So you proceeded to intimidate them, and when it didn’t work, you… kidnapped them?”

    Izuku looks down, but he honestly feels more shy due to standing in front of the people than in remorse for what he did. Then he nods.

Her quirk might be useless, her transformation might be pitiful and weak, but she is going to climb as many fucking waterfalls as she has to- both literal and metaphorical- until she becomes a dragon and achieves her dreams.

    Or: Midoriya Izumi turns into a koi fish. Through her own hard work, she becomes a DRAGON.

    Midoriya Izumi is 15 years old and has spent all her life hating herself almost as much as everyone else has hated her. Eleven years ago she found out she was a 'quirkless freak.' Eight years ago when she finally told the world she was a girl in a guys body they scoffed and scorned her only beating her harder. Then five years ago her mother passed away when a hero lost control of his power during a villain attack. Now her 'best friend' has told her to kill herself and hope for a quirk in her next life and the number one hero has told her to give up on her dreams.

    She is going to prove them all wrong. If the current society could not accept her as she was, then she will have to reforge it. She is going to dismantle the hero society that would not accept her.

    In some universes, Izuku Midoriya's dream came true when All Might gave him One for All. He was finally on a level playing field with everyone else, and he ran forward into the future without looking back, aiming to become the next Symbol of Peace. This was not one of those universes.

    In other universes, Izuku Midoriya was never given One for All. Maybe he never encountered the sludge villain a second time. Maybe All Might didn't track him down afterward. Whatever the cause, Izuku Midoriya remained quirkless. In some of those universes, he became a villain, disenfranchised with the society that had always beat him down. While those universes were closer to this one, this was not one of them either.

    In this universe, Izuku Midoriya still received One for All, but he never forgot what it meant to be quirkless. He never forgot the way that those who were deemed "lesser" were treated. Izuku Midoriya was made to help people. When he realized that the heroes he'd admired for his entire life would never help people like him, not if it meant giving up their power, well...

    The road to Hell was paved with good intentions. At least Izuku wasn't walking it alone.
