No one on these shores knew Scar’s name. Aside from Tango, of course. No one feared the humble, white-sailed ship docked on the south side of the port. This, like the tides, would eventually change with time. They would know his name soon enough. The greatest pirates all rose from humble beginnings like a phoenix from ashes. Scar was no different from them; that much he was sure of. And it would not take him long to prove it.

Summary
Hermit’s Hollow was a quiet town where you learned to ignore whisperings of nonsense and the dull, persistent feeling of being watched before you learned to ride a bike. To call it pedestrian would be a great disservice to all the terrible oddities occupying it— folks and legends alike.
Not that Grian believed any of them, of course.
Or; There's something wrong in Hermit's Hollow. There's something wrong with Grian. Neither of these are a surprise to him.

Summary
What started out as a joke quickly turned into something more devastating.
None of the Hermits were excited for this exchange program, in honesty it sounded stupid to force them out of their well comforted school and home. Scar's friends weren't exactly happy he was the one picked for their social experiment either.
It ended up leading to a rabbit hole of a missing person's case, a teacher's suspicious death, ghosts, and a boy who adamantly refuses to where his uniform.
Scar didn't expect to uncover a cold case when he changed schools.
Or: A combination of the YHS lore where the hermits are able to intervene and help Grian.

Summary
In the dim light, Grian could still make out distinct features of the man's face. He had scars littering his skin. One went through his eyebrow; another started at his lip and travelled below his chin. His lips were full, his nose a bit puffy, as if he'd been punched. There was a mask looped over one ear, and Grian knew he was meant to be wearing it. But it was his eyes that really made Grian tremble.
His eyes were a kind of piercing that had the capability to strike fear with a glance. They were bright green, the brightest Grian had ever seen in his life. They were calculating eyes. Cold eyes. The eyes of a killer.
And Grian was frozen, trapped by them. He couldn't move. He couldn't scream. He was half crouched behind a tree and some bushes that did nothing to hide the stark whiteness of his wings or the overwhelming bright red of his sweater. He was out in the open, exposed to a murderer.
"Fly away, Birdie,"

A story about Hermit City's resident serial killers, the Bamboozlers, and one lone librarian that sees just a bit more than he's supposed to. What happens when Scar can't seem to stay away, and Grian finds himself falling for a notorious murderer?
