“Your heart is still racing,” Xiao softly spoke, the fast beat of Aether’s heart transferring to his own palm, his eyes glossed with concern, “Are you still frightened?”
“It’s not beating that fast because of the fall,” Aether replied, his lips pulling into a small smirk as he saw Xiao’s eyes widen when he caught on to Aether’s implication.
Or While exploring the Chasm for any clues regarding his sister's whereabouts, Aether almost falls to his death. Just as he's about to accept his dreadful fate the name of a familiar Adeptus escapes his lips. A pair of firm arms catch him just before he gets irreversibly hurt and save him from his demise, harbored feelings rising afterward.
