Summary
Post-"Strands in the Rope" Series kick-off. Reading that series will give you the best background for this, but theoretically you could also assume we pick up where Infinity War would start, but then don't do any of that.
Bruce Banner returns to earth (with Thor, and part of his people) and reunites with Tony Stark at the Compound. A certain Spider-kid hears about the Avengers' return and manages to show up as well. Conversations and realizations ensue.Series

Summary
It's been two months since Peter last saw him… since they fought. It's been two months since he stormed out of the lab and Mr. Stark told him that he shouldn't come back. Peter is sixteen, he's old enough to stay home alone while May is out of town, even if that's not his aunt's first choice. It's ok though, because Peter has this. He can do this, no problem. Everything is fine. Then the power goes out and along with it the heat. Still, he's fine. It's all good. He'll just bundle up and wear extra layers, and wrap himself up in a blanket. And then there's a burglary in the building. It's no problem because he's Spider Man. Except it is a problem because the burglar was trying to get into his apartment and now the door knob is broken, and he can't lock the door and he's completely freaked out! Dark apartment, no lock on the door, and oh yeah, he's shaking. And he still has two more nights on his own without May. Not knowing where else to go, he goes to Stark Tower to find Tony.

Summary
Peter Parker drags himself into school after a rough night of superhero-ing, only to be hit with the worst news a teenage wall-crawler could hear: Midtown High is taking a field trip to Stark Industries. Cue the panic attack.
While Ned and MJ, try to calm him down (and threaten bodily harm to annoying classmates), Peter’s anxiety is through the roof; nothing screams “expose your secret identity” like touring the headquarters of the company where you secretly worked as Spider-Man’s tech-savvy alter ego.
To make matters worse, Flash Thompson, Midtown’s resident blowhard and certified Peter Parker-hater, is thrilled at the opportunity to watch Peter squirm. He’s convinced Peter’s been lying about his Stark internship for years and can’t wait for the truth to blow up in Peter’s face.
But when the group arrives at Stark Tower and Flash does see the truth—namely, Peter’s name and following credentials that prove not only his internship, but his importance within the tower—his jaw hits the marble floor. Just don’t ask him how he really got that internship.
Spoiler alert: it involved aliens, a metal suit, and way too much web fluid.

Peter creates a protocol that will initiate in the event of his death, or if he's otherwise severely injured.
Five years later, that time comes when Peter sacrifices himself to save the universe, and falls into a coma.
