Now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious summer by this sun of Targaryen. And all the clouds that loured upon our house, in the deep bosom of the ocean buried.
Aegon Targaryen, thirdborn son of Baelon and Alyssa Targaryen, survives his birth, at a cost. His mother dies, and he has a curvature of the spine and a leg that drags, leaving him with a pronounced limp. Compared to festive, joyful Viserys and handsome, war-like Daemon, he is nothing. A footnote, at best. Squires snigger in the halls of the Red Keep as he shuffles by, always not far behind his brothers. Jaehaerys ignores him and considers making him a maester, and Baelon shuns him for Alyssa's death. At the time of his birth, he is sixth in line to the throne, unlikely to inherit.
But Aegon Targaryen, by all the Gods, will not be a footnote.

Basically my recreation of Richard III using Aegon Targaryen (the son of Alyssa and Baelon who died aged about half a year) as Richard. I'm really excited about this lol. It won't follow the play very very thoroughly, obviously there are a ton of differences in-universe that I need to account for... but I will follow the general spirit and path. Enjoy!

Summary
When word from the Franklin Expedition is not heard by January of 1848, Sir John Barrow approves a single expedition, consisting of sixty-four men, on a single ship; HMS Edinburgh. The same class as HMS Terror; she is heavy, slow, and terrible for the Arctic.
Commanded by a well-meaning incompetent who has never held an active command, chosen purely because of convenience, the expedition meets some of the same horrors that met Franklin and seems destined to suffer the same fate as the expedition they were meant to rescue. Can the crew find Franklin and save themselves at the same time?
Not really based on the show or book, mostly in that universe with inspired scenes from both book and show, but it's original enough that I intend to publish lol, so do with that what you will. I think it will be worth your while. Enjoy!!
