The people of Eriador tell tales of folk who used to shed skin and cloth in favour of fur and claws, trade noses for beaks and feet for talons, donning one form after another, never fixed in one body, never limited to one mind. Where once lay truth, now stands only legend, and the history of skin-changers in Middle Earth has fallen to the wayside, as much of history is wont to do.
Or, Strider gains a tag-along in the form of a small, red fox while searching for Gollum and information on the One Ring.

Summary
Hound's new assignment is a nightmare: babysit the Hokage's latest "ward", who happens to be a ghost from a life he buried 9 years ago. She blackmailed her way into being Naruto's new guardian by threatening to undo the fragile political safety of the village, all while describing black-op horrors like a fucking virtuoso of carnage. To protect Naruto and the village he’s sworn to, he must unravel her past and confront the fucked up system that created her, all while deciding if the broken woman she is now deserves salvation, or a swift termination.
