His hair catches the moonlight, sifting it across layers of locks like ripples in the ocean. It is my favourite thing about him. He is beautiful. He is breathtaking, and when he turns and smiles, his face is like the moon. His eyes, deep as the ocean and the same colour too draws me in like moon to the tide and I am swept away; I am bare, I am void and there is nothing between us but us. Nothing and everything all at the same time.
Our lips find each other. He smells of sea, of life, of him and I smell of fire and ash. I draw away first.

Summary

Miles Morales attends Ballet classes.
It wasn't that Gwen did ballet and Miles wanted to impress her, or dance with her, or— Well yes, that was partially there, but there were more practical reasons to pursue ballet such as the following:
Miles had seen Gwen do ballet. And aside from it being the most majestic thing he's seen, it was also an effective exercise in flexibility, strength and balance. Traits any good Spider-person should have. He'd seen Gwen in action. The control of her stance, her landings and her swinging in the air, it was so graceful, like ballet.
Miles figured if he could do even one percent of that, he'd be one-hundred percent more the Spiderman he already was.
OR
Miles does ballet to improve his Spiderman-ing, but ends up using his Spiderman-ing to improve his ballet, while trying to keep his identity a secret. Chaos ensues.

Summary
Asami Sato can say no. She can refuse to believe that the world is on the edge of something beyond terror and comprehension. She can reject the possibility that grieving for the death of her father is necessary, as he was already dead to her once before. She can close your eyes, cover her ears and convince herself that everything is fine. That she's fine. Through grinding teeth and a belly full of rage, she's fine.
All of these problems, these impossible problems with no solution that involve science humanity was never meant to understand, are manageable. Spirit weapons are a terrifying threat, yes, and the fuel for them literally grows on trees, but she can fix it.
She's Asami Sato, the Engineer. She can fix anything.
