The growth of mythical creatures is a very slow process, taking hundreds, even thousands of years, as if their bones never fully mature, their bodies forever filling out. And because of this long growth period, the physical and psychological boundaries between their childhood and adulthood are blurred and mixed together. In the previous age, if they had been separated long enough, Adam would have noticed that Amon had grown a few centimeters taller. But Amon's growth ended at the peak of the Glorious Age; after that, He never changed. He would never grow taller, never grow older, never age, but remain forever in the transition from boy to man. Adam knew that Amon had always been a child—He grew, but never matured; He became an adult, but never truly matured. "Those who brought us to this state will pay the price, I assure you," He leaned down and gently kissed Amon's forehead, "but for now, Amon, just bear with it, just bear with it.
