Summary
A few days after the fight at the Minakami shrine, Utena's mother finds Utena's newly-acquired stash of S&M magazines. Since she has a bit of experience in the scene, she decides to confront her daughter about her newfound interest, if only to make sure she knows the proper etiquette.
Reassured by her mother's acceptance of her sadistic nature, Utena learns to accept and embrace the darker part of herself. Realizing that it's just one part of her multifaceted personality, she learns to embrace the dark without forgetting the light.
And somehow, it changes everything.
