Gotham is definitely not the usual place people decide to go for a Vacation. Danny's not really planning on staying long, but after a while being on the road every day kinda gets old. The city has a large population, ectoplasm, and enough bullshit going on the GIW probably won't think to start up a branch for a while at least.
It's not like he can go home, anyway.
So he's just gonna lay low, get his feet underneath him, and then figure out what to do from there.
Grundy however didn't wait for him to explain any of that. Undead kid needs to lay low? Well, Grundy's got the perfect place for that! Can't get much lower than the sewers in Gotham, right?
The Batfam just might have Opinions about that. -

Summary
Idia Shroud was someone beyond saving. Whether it was from the clutches of his workplace or from the instability of his mental state...It didn't matter; nothing did. Although it felt relatively familiar.
As familiar as the time someone once said:
"I am fundamentally unworthy of being saved."
That entire sentence practically described him from the moment he left the womb. That was the mark for someone who knew there was no getting out of this. No means of escape, differences, hope or anything foolish like that.
From that moment on, he knew there was no point in dreams or ambitions if they were bound to be shattered.
That wasn't necessarily a problem for him, though; he had already faced the consequences of what could happen if you tried to follow your wishes against someone's will. Plus, it's not like said incident barely scorched a mark on him, because it sure as hell did. So, he wasn't exactly DYING for help, he's no damsel in distress, and he's aware of that.
Unfortunately for him, people can be nosy. Not necessarily maliciously, but in the intention of assistance.
Which was a rather accurate description of Silver Vanrouge.
