  • so of course there's opportunity for it to be done intentionally and with precision

  • this is actually just some fun and well adjusted smut between friends
  • they know what they're doing and why and know what they want and it's uncomplicated for a change
  • if you're both pining for other people why not take a bit of comfort where you can get it
  • especially if those other people are making Bad Horny Decisions too
  • such a contrast to the easfrey dynamic that it was both a challenge and a joy to write it

  Summary

  This kiss definitely isn’t platonic.

  It also, definitely, isn’t romantic. That was expected, and affirmed, by both of them. This intimacy between them is not something that can take seed and sprout, neither of them want that.

  But both of them want something, something they know they can’t have, and this is soothing the unbearable hurt of that certainty, a little.
