“Okay, and how did you feel about that?” Buck is trying to remain neutral, not let his thoughts or opinions derail the conversation. Eddie has something important he is leading to, platonic life partners, his brain reminds him.
“Now you sound like Frank.” Eddie chuckles.
“You had a session with Frank?” Buck tried not to let the surprise into his voice. Usually he has to convince Eddie to schedule an appointment with Frank when things get bad. It isn’t often Eddie schedules a session without Buck knowing about it.
“Yeah, we talked about the break up, but we mostly talked about what I am looking for in a relationship?” Eddie says it more as a question than a statement. “He had me make a list of things I want from a girlfrie- partner.” As he talks, Eddie’s posture becomes more relaxed, he leans back, settling into the couch. Buck mirrors him. “After I made the list, I realized I get a lot of that stuff already… from you.”

Eddie and Marisol break up. A therapy session with Frank helps Eddie realize that he already has everything he is looking for... with Buck. They decide to become Platonic Life Partners. Turns out it is everything they could have wanted it to be, and more.
