Known as the Black Swordsman of Aincrad, Midoku, he had a reputation as a solo player, but was always willing to help out those in need whenever possible. When asked, his only response was "it's what a hero would do".

    Before SAO happened, that was his ultimate dream. To be a Hero.

    And when the Death Game finally ended, he had a chance to chase that dream again.

    Izumi Midoriya, a bullied girl who was diagnosed Quirkless at the age of four and betrayed by her former childhood friend, after having an awful day after meeting her idol All Might and getting a reality check, ends up meeting her new neighbor Ochako Uraraka, befriending each other in the process.

    During the following day, Izumi has a chance encounter with All Might again and he offers to be her mentor to make-up for his previous treatment of her and he even offers his Quirk named One For All. Izumi, though initially reluctant, accepts his offer thanks to Ochako's encouragement and starts to train for his Quirk and kickstart her journey at UA High School, and getting involved in battles and mysteries in Hero Society by forming the Spark Squad.

    TW: Graphic Depictions of Abuse, Gore, Implied Adult Sexual Intercourse, Mentions of Marital Rape (NOT EXPLICIT), Strong Swearing, Homophobia, and Disturbing Scenarios & Complex Themes.
    The first few chapters aren't that bad in terms of content, but it doesn't stay that way.

    After a particularly bad day, which included getting suicide baited, meeting a cute girl who actually talked to him and gave him a strange card, nearly getting murdered and possessed by a sludge villain, meeting his idol, having his dream crushed by said idol, and finally getting abandoned on a roof by his idol, Izuku sees only one choice. He decides to take his bully's advice and jump off the roof, hoping for a quirk in the next life. Now, normally one would think that jumping off a six story building, that would be the end. But for Izuku, it was only the beginning of his new crazy life.

     

    *Trigger Warning* This story, at the very least the first chapter and maybe a few past that, include suicide and talks of suicide. If that bothers you, then maybe this story isn't for you.

    Ochako Uraraka is devastated towards the beginning of her second year of her Junior High Career when her parents’ construction company goes under and forces them to move and uproot her life.

    But her perspective shifts when she meets a new neighbor and friend in Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy with his own aspirations to become a hero.

    Izuku has wanted nothing more than to be a hero, but combined with his quirklessness, and lack of support in his life, it has left him a nervous wreck.

    But that changes upon meeting Ochako, who becomes the first to truly believe in him.

    Compounded upon reconnecting with his quirkless uncle, who decides to help them both succeed, the two begin their journey together.

    Supporting one another, they are sure of one thing: Somehow, they’re both going to become two of the greatest heroes.
