    Summary

Albus Dumbledore is an evil man.

The traditionalists aren’t the evil ones, and the Dark Lord wasn’t truly evil either. It was a set up of the highest order, one that ruined the lives of all involved.

There were two prophecies, one declaring the coming of Tom Riddle, the savior of the Pagans and Olde Ways, and the other declaring the coming of Harry Potter, the savior for Tom Riddle himself.

    OR

In a world where Soulmates exist, the Dark Lord was the victim all along, and there’s a train wreck of trauma, abuse, and rape; there is a minefield of deceit, and victims calling for justice to be served to the person who hurt them. The world was never black and white, it had always been shades of grey.

Harry Potter and Tom Riddle will show them all.

    Pacify:
    1. To allay the anger or agitation of
    2. To reduce to a submissive state

He would do his duty. He would save Draco, if he could. He would protect the students, if and when the school fell to the Deatheaters. And Potter. As far as he was concerned, Potter could have whatever he wanted, now. What was the point of trying to tell him no if he was going to be sacrificed on the pyre of the greater good? If Potter wanted to learn, Severus would be his teacher. If he wanted a master, then Severus would make him submit. And if he wanted a lover... well. Severus would love him. And that was it. Anything else was a waste of time. And there was so little of that.

A complete reimagining of books six and seven (plus), running parallel to canon. And then a SHARP DIVERSION FROM CANON.

    ***

From a reader: "Basically, Pacify is like, you know how in canon both Harry and Severus are pushed and pushed and pushed by external forces/emotional manipulation until they are backed into a corner? Pacify is...what if they were backed into the same corner?"

    Summary

    'To my dear Voldemort…'

This is how the letter he just received begins. The writing was horrible, it looked a lot like that of an elementary school child, and yet... It had caught Voldemort's attention. Not for the beginning - although it was rather strange. Not for the writing. But for the sender: Harry James Potter

Harry Potter is dead. Suicide, say the newspapers. But the causes of this are yet to be discovered and the headmaster of Hogwarts - Albus Dumbledore - has no intention of giving an interview. So: why did the savior of the wizarding world commit suicide? What had led him to this terrible end?

The letter sent to Lord Voldemort seems to explain - at least in part - the reasons for his death, but it is not complete... The letter stops at a certain point, as if it were only a piece of a large puzzle. And Voldemort - as busy as his commitments keep him busy - has always been a curious man and has every effort to solve this puzzle.
