All Dick had heard over the comms before he rushed towards Damian’s last known location was a quiet “Fear toxin” from Damian. It didn’t sound like he was scared or hurt in that moment, just like the fear toxin was something he was acknowledging. Almost like if someone was acknowledging a new freckle on their arm, or a pimple on their face. It wasn’t any big dramatic moment, but the chills it sent down Dick’s spine had him moving faster than he thought possible.

That wasn’t going to fly as far as he was concerned. Now he just needed to finish up the rest of his jobs for the night and return to his safehouse without any of the bats catching him.
