   Summary

   Tom and Pete both die at the exact same moment—Pete from getting shot out of the sky over Russia, Tom of cancer complications.

   They both wake up in 1986, just after showing up at TOPGUN. Neither know that the other is there from the future. Pete vows to keep Goose alive this time, Tom is just excited to get to fall in love with Pete all over again.
