Jimin doesn’t want to talk to anyone about the way his heart felt in his chest while Jungkook was speaking animatedly about the beauty of birds in flight. He prefers to keep it to himself.
When he goes for a walk on the beach with Jungkook after his shift, and sees the dreamy sinuous wave of a line of pelicans in flight, winding and graceful, striking against the high blue of the sky like the lazy pull of a receding ocean wave transposed up there, he wonders what Jungkook would think of seeing Jimin in flight, and if he’ll be able to show him one day.
or: Jimin has a secret he’s worried makes him a little too different from everyone else. But when he meets a photographer with a different way of looking at the world than most people, he starts to think it might be worth it to take flight outside of his comfort zone.

Good thing he’s already friends with the prodigious elf. All he has to do now is get even closer to him. Easy peasy.
(Of course, he has no idea that Jungkook may just have a crush on him.)
