The electro shield holding this tiny city together flickered purple over them, but beyond it was an open, deep blue night sky. He could even see the crescent moon.
This really wasn’t New Khaenri’ah. He’d never see New Khaenri’ah again. That horrible, dirty, hateful city full of awful people and tyrannical synthetic control enforcers and brothels where they trafficked little girls and... And two of the people who he loved the most in the whole world.
“Alice.” He sobbed, dropping to his knees in the alleyway.

After a harrowing escape from New Khaenri'ah, Albedo returns to the resistance, huddled in a broken town in the ruins of old Inazuma. There he strengthens old bonds and forges new ones, all while fighting desperately for the peace he always longed for.
