Johnny was sleeping comfortably on a chaise, lying sideways, one hand lazily rubbing the curve of his belly. The golden flames around him flickered softly, casting warm, dancing light across the lavish hall. The faint hum of the Negative Zone outside seemed distant and irrelevant here.
An attendant stepped quietly into the room, bowing low. “Forgive the intrusion, my Flame,” they murmured, “but there are those who seek your praises.”
Johnny sighed softly, a mixture of exhaustion and mild exasperation tugging at his features.
“I guess it can’t be helped,” he said gently, his voice carrying a kind of weary authority. Slowly, he pushed himself upright from the chaise.
