“Huh… so it really is a birthmark then,” Yeong-hu muttered to himself, running his fingers over the dark mark on the younger man's face. Seok-chan blinked, his heart racing, forcing the blush creeping up his neck back down.
“What are you doing, sir?” Seok-chan asked, desperately trying to maintain his composure. He was sure that his strained voice still gave him away.~

Summary
In another world, Sergeant Kim Yeong-hu left Bamseom with nothing but the dog tags of the fallen, grief and anger fuelling his steps as he made his way back to the stadium. In this world, no soldier left Bamseom alive.

Canon ending still happens but the rescue team never made it back. After the survivors and neohumans have settled in a tentative peace, the remaining members of Crow Platoon return to Bamseom to collect their friends’ tags to give them a proper burial. What they find instead is a monster guarding a decayed corpse.
