Summary
If she were under oath, Frankie would admit that her plan’s lynch pin for convincing Graff he’s not a monster in the making is Ellie.
Ellie isn’t in on the plan of course, but she’s the key all the same because actions speak louder than words and Ellies actions are that she loves Graff very, very much, always has.
The other action is that Graff knows Frankie, knows she would never let someone within a hundred feet of Ellie if she thought they might cause Ellie harm.
The first piece of evidence comes when the three of them are preparing dinner and Ellie is very carefully copying the way that Graff holds his knife as he dices the tomatoes, which he notices with a small, fond smile before correcting Ellie’s technique to keep her finger tips safe. -

Kate then settles in to help Lily with whatever she’s doing because it will be work that doesn’t take too much brain power, but will allow her to focus enough that her mind won’t linger on Addy. It works great until lightning cracks across the sky and Kate jumps, but what really sends her spiraling is Lily.
“One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi.”
And then suddenly Kate can’t breathe, can only hear Addy in the backseat counting out the beats between lightning and thunder mere minutes before everything had gone wrong.
She tries to wheeze out something about how she has to go as she stumbles towards the RV and the bathroom in it, and Lily’s calling of her name mixes into Addy’s screaming of it.
On birthdays and the anniversary Kate and Javi tell the Tornado Wranglers about the friends they lost.

Tyler is pretty sure that Kate has no idea that she has a death grip on his wrist after they climb out of the swimming pool in Stillwater. But he isn’t going to say anything because she clearly needs it, has a wild haunted look in her eyes from more than just riding out a tornado clutching a metal pole and her breathing is just the right side of erratic.
“Y’alright?” He asks gently, feeling a little bit like he’s approaching a spooked horse, when the ambulance pulls up and they both point at the mom and her daughter in sync. Kate blinks up at him before she shudders in a deep breath, holds it for a few seconds and releases his wrist when she exhales.

Summary
She picks up her pencil and carefully underlines a few words. Dalgleish throws her another look which she ignores as it is a friendly non-verbal argument they have been having since Kate started leaving her books in his car. He falls firmly on the side of the argument that thinks writing in books is essentially a crime, she believes that it’s her bloody book, she can do what she likes with it, and she likes being able to make notes on her thoughts.
(Dalgleish will not admit to anyone, especially not Kate who will remain oblivious if he has anything to say about it, that he always finds time to read what she leaves behind in those books: which words she circled, which phrases she underlined, the notes about feelings and thoughts she scribbles in the margins, so similar and yet so different from the way she constructs her police notes.)
“I discovered poetry when I met my wife,” he admits and sees Kate’s pencil waver slightly before she continues on casually.

Unbeknownst to the higher ups in the Department of Communications there is an unofficial manual that gets passed around to all the new hires that offers explanations for the way the department actually works.
Some of those things are mundane; where and when to get coffee, when and when not to take the stairs.
It’s the chart on the last page that makes this document truly unofficial; where it details how to determine how much of a clusterfuck is currently happening through the amount of vitriol being volleyed back and forth between the Head of Communications and the Deputy of Communications. Volume of said vitriol is compared in the second column.
Finn's strangled horrified yell makes everyone jump as he looks at his phone and dials the number again, swearing and praying quietly as he waits for it to go through. When it doesn’t, the unthinkable happens.
Finn Kirkwood goes dead silent.

My favourite memory of the TARDIS is actually my first memory. Dad says that I shouldn’t remember this, Mum says that the TARDIS gave it to me.
My favourite TARDIS memory is when I graduated from university and Dad lead us to the backyard to show us the TARDIS sitting in the backyard and handed each of us a key.
My second favourite TARDIS memory, because Tim stole mine, is when I was fourteen.

And what would your purpose be? The Creator asks and Diefenbaker thinks about it.
I should like my purpose to be to love and be loved in return.
A very good purpose. And so the Creator leads him to Benton Fraser, who needs love more than he needs air and loves in return just as fiercely.

"Well fuck." Trent reaches up to pinch the bridge of his nose before resigning himself to the embarrassment he is about to endure. "I had hoped your stubborn American politeness would have allowed us to dance around this issue."

“Eddie.” It’s Maddie’s voice, shaky and wet. “Have you heard from Buck?”
“Not since I dropped Chris off this morning. They went to the movies,” he says and frowns as Maddie shudders through an inhale. “Maddie what’s the matter?”“I checked Instagram on my break to try and decompress a little.” His phone vibrates like he got a text message so he pulls it away from his ear and puts Maddie on speaker phone. “They didn’t go to the movies.”
Eddie opens the text and his heart drops.
It’s a screen shot of Instagram, a picture of Buck and Christopher very clearly on the pier as evidenced by the Ferris Wheel directly behind them. The time stamp on the picture is less than a half hour before the tsunami hit.
“No,” Eddie says and doesn’t realize he says it out loud until Maddie sobs again.
“I tried calling him, but I didn’t get an answer.”
“No no no no,” Eddie says and he’s shaking his head this time because he can’t. He can’t lose Chris, he can’t lose Buck and he cannot survive losing them both.
