Looking back on his life, Lando Norris realised he’d spent most of it trying to go home.

First it was the house he grew up in, where mistakes weren’t easily forgiven and his future had been decided long before he had any say in it.
Then it was a boarding school he was certain he’d hate.

“What you thinking about?” Todd prodded.
“You.”
Todds head snapped up, a strange choking noise breaking out of his throat. What had Neil just said? His mind was spinning. Why was Neil thinking about him? What did he say back? What did it mean? Nothing. It didn’t mean anything it was just a playful joke from his friend. His friend.
“Good things, I hope?” Todd forced out. Aiming for casual, but ending up more in the realms of high pitched anxious stutter.
Neil’s lips twitched.
“Always.”
