Summary
Of all the things Wednesday Addams might have done after she left, holing herself up in an abandoned lighthouse somewhere on the east coast was very much in character for her.
Enid was cold and tired, and if this didn't work, she didn't know what she was going to do. But she wasn't going to give up easily.
She knocked even louder the second time.
“Uhm, hi Wednesday!”, Enid waved awkwardly, hoping to be heard over the drizzle and the roar of the ocean waves. “I don't know if you remember me, I'm-”
“Enid Sinclair”, said the monotonous voice she hadn't heard in a long time. “Of course I remember. What on earth are you doing here?”or
Wednesday is on a creative retreat to write her novel in an abandoned lighthouse, and Enid shows up there unannounced one summer night.
They haven't seen each other in over two years, and everything would be easier if Enid didn't lie about her reason for being there and if they didn't have so many things left to say to each other from when they were in Nevermore.
A lot has happened and they have changed, and they will have to get to know each other again and reconnect under these strange circumstances.Series

Aloy glanced toward the window, where the first tentative gold of dawn slowly crept from between the parted curtains, reaching toward the foot of their bed like gentle searching fingers. They would be within its grasp soon, but for now they would be ensconced within the cool shadows for a bit longer.
"Earlier than you would like. Do you want to go back to sleep? I'll stay with you."
"Tempting, but…no, I want to stay awake. I want to just lay here with you."
Or, years and years after Nemesis's defeat, Aloy and Seyka do more than lay together in their sun-drenched bed.

Seyka had another smart-ass retort on the tip of her tongue, but it slipped from her mind when Aloy brought her fingers to her lips, tracing them reverently, like she was a delicate work of art. Her heart stopped in her chest at the tenderness, her face burning. Seyka had never thought of herself as something precious, worthy of a delicate hand, until Aloy had come into her life.

Summary
Because nothing could be as stunning as Seyka, not when she filled Aloy's life with so much love and joy it overflowed like a foaming mug of ale in chainscrape, and tasted so much better.
Seyka finally teaches Aloy to surf and they do a bit more with their day than just that.
