“I know. It’s not right your mom and dad didn’t show,” Grandma said, picking up a violet, glistening purple with sugar crystals that twinkled in the lights of the ice cream parlor. “That just means you gotta show up for yourself.” She popped the violet into her mouth, crunching it up and smiling at Darcy.
Darcy nodded firmly.
She didn't quite fully understand what Grandma had meant at the time, but baby Darcy took the words to heart and always made sure after that to have her own back. Even if no one else was supporting her, she knew how to support and advocate for herself.

Summary
There had been a horrific train accident in Midtown, maybe about a century past, causing the entirety of Grand Central Terminal and some of the surrounding buildings to collapse into the tracks below, and humans were only now starting to venture back into the territory. Even tech that was a century out of date could still be adapted these days, depending on just how good it was.
Darcy Lewis, tech expert in a future that’s gone absolutely sideways from our own, is on the hunt for whatever technology she can find in the remains of Grand Central Terminal to help the rescue missions that Jane has founded for any refugees trying to reach the Northeast.
Of course, there may be other things to be found beneath the remnants of Grand Central Terminal as well. Maybe even the hope for a brighter future.

Summary
This is one of those stories that wouldn't let me rest. I've been writing bits and pieces for months and figured the idea would die but still it lives on.
After the downfall of Hydra and Shield picking up the pieces, Tony, Nat, and Clint are clearing one final base that's supposed to be deserted when they discover a prisoner. After a bit of time, the prisoner starts to show some interesting qualities.
