But other times, they stayed in motels, scraping together cash between the two of them. Benson had an eerie knack of turning fifty dollars into a hundred and Randy could not fathom how he did it. But he made ends meet, somehow. Enough so that they could dump their shit onto the flattened carpet of sketchy motels every couple of days. Benson would usually end up face down on the mattress, he hadn’t let Randy do any of the driving yet and it was clearly getting to him.
They’d started up their affair by the end of the fifth day on the road.

Yeonjun spoke as politely as possible in the face of all subjects, especially those that did not often pose problems. It was typically effective, and could aid in getting fast, truthful information. However, that did not seem to be the case with this one.

Soobin froze; oh yeah, that hit a nerve. Yeonjun was the precious only son of a second wife, the traded-up model wife, in fact; he had grown up around the viciously offensive and had immunity.
“Where did you come from? Are you some rich asshole’s secret bastard or something?” asked Yeonjun. From the way Soobin’s brows drew together in the center, he thought he might’ve just found bullseye.
“Speaking of rich assholes, aren’t you the type to be out cruising for a daddy?” Soobin’s voice was a thin edge, dripping. “Think maybe I’m a little too young for you.”
“Yeah, I’ve got clinically diagnosed daddy issues, but mostly I just like dick,” admitted Yeonjun easily.
