Summary
The Xie Army in Pursuit of Jade is essentially a perfect case study in why you should never let your terrifyingly competent military commander fall in love.
The drama spends plenty of time on stunning cinematography, political intrigue, and a seventeen-year blood feud. But the real entertainment comes from Xie Zheng’s inner circle: a group of elite soldiers, spies, strategists, and scouts who somehow end up operating less like a military unit and more like a deeply stressed family business dedicated to protecting one man’s chance in romance and a happy ending.
When you compare what these people are trained to do versus what they actually spend their time doing, the results are spectacular.

Summary
To stop Thanos, Stephen Strange is forced to cast a spell where the Avengers and co are kicked out of their home dimension and placed into a complete new one to start anew.
But weakened in battle, Strange only had enough strength to bring half of the heroes in Gotham, the rest were all scattered into various hidden limbo realms within the multiverse until they could safely be retrieved.
But with no money any only the gear they came with, they have no way of getting the materials needed to build the portal needed to bring their missing friends home.
At least, not legally.
Deciding to temporarily turn into a crime mob, the Avengers are now known in Gotham as a gang of criminals who steal high tech machinery from LexCorp, Wayne Industries, etc.
The Avengers are now fighting to not just bring their missing family and friends back to this new dimension, but to throw off the bat and bird themed vigilantes that are hunting them down.
Only one thing was certain in this dimension: chaos!

Summary
The dust is still settling after Cheng-wang’s coup and the war with Dai. Xiao Heng has finally made it back home, grieving but safe, which is sometimes all one can ask for, Xue Fangfei thinks. She turns and shifts in their bed, her husband’s arms wrapped tight around her, and drifts into sleep.
She startles awake violently, to her husband’s familiarly callused hands pulling her out of the wet, suffocating soil of her nightmares.

Zhao Qi has absolutely none of this context needed to understand what’s going on, though.

Summary
Xie Zheng was reading documents when Fan Chang Ning burst into the room like a small, violent storm.
“Jiefu! I figured out romance,” she announced.
He blinked and immediately rolled up whatever he was reading like a guilty official hiding corruption evidence. “You figured what out?”
“You’re doing it wrong,” she said, climbing into the chair across from him and kneeling on it like a general planning a war. “You can’t just stand there and look at my sister like a sad ghost.”
“I am not a sad ghost.”
She ignored that. “Do you like my sister?” she asked bluntly.
Xie Zheng felt like someone had just shoved an entire pig leg down his throat.
“I… I…” he scrambled for an answer, suddenly finding the table extremely interesting.
His silence was answered by Chang Ning’s slow, smug grin—the kind only small children and very dangerous politicians possess.
“I have a plan,” she announced.
*In which Chang Ning was the genius behind the signature Tangerine peel kiss (and other crazy romance manoeuvres thereafter).
