Summary
Matthew can admit that he invites Gunwook out to the swimming hole for less than pure intentions.
It doesn’t take much convincing, either: they’d both been up since 7 A.M. working on the house and the yard, laboring under the hot August sun, and sweat through their clothes by the time 9 A.M. rolled around. During a water break, Matthew sidles up and asks, the paragon of innocence: “How do you feel about going for a dip?”
Gunwook swallows before answering. Matthew stares openly at the prolonged bob of his throat. “‘A dip’?”
“A swim? Recreationally entering a body of water and paddling around to cool off?”
“You could’ve just said ‘a swim’ the first time, hyung,” Gunwook replies, but he smiles to soften the sarcasm. “Do you think your parents will mind?”
“We’re not going to get in trouble. I bet those two are inside ‘looking for something’ and taking a nap. They won’t even notice we’re gone.”
Or, Matthew convinces Gunwook to take a break from home and farm renovation shenanigans so they can partake in other shenanigans instead
