    Bob did not realize how his participation could backfire on him until every single person in the room raised their hand and somehow, he was the one they all looked at. He slowly lowered his hand back down to his lap, dropped his gaze to his book as if he hadn’t paid attention to their banter at all. Unfortunately, he was not half as subtle as he wished to be.

    The odds of everyone raising their hands were high, which was why Bob joined in—he expected it to be funny. He did not expect the joke to be thrown back at him when John said, “All right, if Bob’s scar is cooler than mine, I’ll concede.”

    The Thunderbolts start comparing their scars and Bob starts spiraling.

    For all his faults, Shang Qinghua is sure of two things.

    Mobei-jun is his best friend
    Despite all his other flaws, Shang Qinghua is cute

    He’s been told it repeatedly, countless times when he smiles, when he shows Mobei his writing, when he’s shoving his face full of instant noodles. So, perhaps he’s able to look past his average grades, his below-average height, and his semi-okay writing. Because, at least in the eyes of Mobei-jun he is unequivocally cute, and that coming from one of the most gorgeous men he’s ever seen, and his best friend since they were small, means everything.

    So, hearing Mobei-jun describe him as average to Sha Hualing, is well.. earth shattering.
