    It was supposed to be a simple mission. Investigate a possible gang and protect a minister. Obi-Wan wasn't supposed to find a child that burned like the sun in the force. He definitely wasn't supposed to get kidnapped by the Jedi's ancient enemy. He needs to find a way to get back home and protect Anakin.

    Only the True Mandalorians don't act the way he expects them too. Jaster was kind in a way Qui-Gon wasn't, Arla made him think of his friends, and Jango seemed almost too forgiving towards being stabbed. Not to mention that something was happening in the outer rim and him being on Mandalore might just change the course of the galaxy for the better.

    Maybe he didn't want to go home.
    Maybe him messing up doesn't have to end painfully.

    “Obi-Wan!” Dex calls out the moment he sees him. The besalisk makes his way around the counter, and Obi-Wan waits for the bone-crushing hug he knows is coming. Dex’s Diner is as busy as ever, and the lunch crowd adds a low chatter in the background.

    “It’s been a while, Dex.” The greeting comes out in a rush as Dex picks up the padawan and squeezes the air out of him. The familiar hug soothes Obi-Wans nerves, and he can't quite help grinning into Dex’s shoulder as he hugs back.

    “So it has. You haven’t been here in months.” Dex keeps one of his upper arms on Obi-Wan shoulder and steps back. “What can I get for you? The special is always good.”

    “I need a favor, Dex.” Some of his nerves must still show on his face because the besalisk frowns.

    “You in some kinda trouble?”

    Obi-Wan grins back and shrugs. “Not yet.”

    Obi-Wan gets visions of the future, and when the council makes the wrong choice, according to him, Obi-Wan can not stand back and watch. He takes the future into his own hands.

    Obi-Wan Kenobi is a lot of things. He was a Jedi initiate, a padawan reject, a padawan, an ex-padawan, the general of a child army (we don't talk about that), a padawan once again, and now he's angry.

    Jaster Mereel is also a lot of things. He is Mand'alor, buir to Jango, leader of the True Mandalorians, and now he is saving his people on the advice of a padawan.

    Jango Fett is confused. His buir pulls out of a contract on Galidraan and his advisiors are all arguing amongst themselves. Not a lot gets clearer after the recording of a (admittedly very pretty) padawan foretells their demise.

    AU where Obi-Wan has visions of Galidraan and decides to do something about it (leading to the Mandalorians wanting to induct him into their culture.) Including clones shenanigans and miscommunication!

    But all of that changed when his illness began.

    Plagued by fits of panic and hysteria that seemingly had no cause, Jaskier was forced to remove himself from society for two years. Now returned to the city, he is desperate to find an alpha before the season is up and he is declared a spinster. The only problem is that he's old news, prospects are few and far between, and he may not be quite as recovered as he's led his parents to believe.
