Summary
Eddie loved nights like this, cold enough to nibble at his finger tips and bring his senses to life with the light, comforting buzz of weed weaving a cloudy soft blanket of high through his body. A mist shrouded Forest Hills in a blanket of spookiness. The smell of the moist decaying leaves beneath his feet eased any residual anxieties.
His ears picked up the beginning of 'The Four Horsemen' bringing a wild smile to his face. He settled the headphones over one of his ears to enjoy. Eddie made it to a near decrepit picnic bench just far enough in the thick of the trees for him to not be able to see the trailers easily, even without many leaves on most of them or the mist to obstruct his view.
He sparks up, inhaling thick smoke into his lungs, burning gently on the way. He blows it out into the sky and sighs as the California Orange Skunk soaks into him. He sat there for a moment just enjoying the quiet of a late autumn night.
If Eddie listened closer, beyond the music, he’d have noticed it was maybe… too quiet. As he cracks open the can to take a sip of his beer, Eddie sliced his pointer finger on the can opener, drawing a few drops of blood from his flesh.

Summary
Eddie Munson isn't a very good vampire. He doesn't like to hunt and has never bitten a human in the couple of years since being turned. The problem is that animal blood can only sustain him for so long.
Chicago, Illinois, 1993. Eddie follows the recommendation of another vampire to visit a 'donor,' a human who lets vampires feed off them for a living. What he's not expecting is for said donor to be a ghost from high school past in the shape of Steve Harrington.
"The price is $50 per bite," Steve explained with what sounded like a well-practiced spiel. "That's teeth breaking skin. You choose where you want to bite, but if it's below the belt I'm charging an extra $20 per bite." He paused for a moment, leveling a scrutinizing gaze on Eddie until the vampire nodded his understanding.
Steve's eyebrows lifted. "I'm going to need verbal confirmation, please."
And oh, that tone did something for Eddie. He'd probably be blushing if he had enough blood in his system to reach the right places. As it was, he hadn't had a proper meal in weeks. So he was definitely lacking a human-like complexion.
