Sae frowned at him for a moment, his face red from the alcohol. “You’re so pretty.”
“Is that so?” Ryusei barely held back a laugh.
“Yeah.” There was a beat of silence as Sae’s eyes scanned Ryusei’s face, settling on his lips for a fraction of a second before flicking back up to his eyes. He leaned in even further so that their foreheads were nearly touching. “Don’t tell anyone, but I think I like you.”

“Fight me for parental rights!” Shidou cries again, upset at being ignored.
“I’m not entertaining this,” Loki says. “Do what you want.”
He and his midfielder turn to leave, but barely make it more than a few steps.
Shidou sighs. “It’s for the best. At least now Charles will be with the father he likes the most.”
Loki stops. “What do you mean ‘the father he likes the most’? He barely knows you!”
