"Heizou questions when the colour first drained from his vision, when dazzling oranges and cool blues abandoned him. It’s dark. All he can see is black and white and red; so much red, the scarlet hues seem blinding, overwhelming even. The moon is stained a deep crimson, and it proceeds to weep its crimson over the land. His sight follows the heavy rain, and it’s then he questions whether the moon is raining this shade, or if gravity has taken the excess paint and used it to decorate the blank lunar canvas. Even the stars have donned the brilliant red, prancing around the moon in celebration."
