Summary
This is all perfectly applicable to friendship. Friendships require effort. Intentionality. Sometimes you have to watch a minute long Instagram video about attracting men to figure out how to get your male best friend to come back to your house and fall asleep on your couch again. Or in your bed. Either one.
Whatever Buck's comfortable with. Eddie's not picky.
Eddie will take whatever proximity Buck is willing to offer and be grateful for it, and if that sounds desperate then fine, it's a little desperate, but it's friend-desperate, which is a completely different thing than regular desperate.
He replays the video and takes mental notes, formulating a plan that is simple: get Buck's attention. Spend more time with Buck. Stop feeling like his ribcage has been hollowed out with a melon baller every time he goes forty-eight hours without hearing Buck laugh.
Easy and straightforward. He’s got this.
Or,
Five times Eddie tries to show Buck how much he misses him; plus the one time he just says it.Series

Summary
“Oh my god.” Ravi mumbled to himself. And that’s when he had the perfect idea. Rocks. And they are quite literally surrounded in rubble. Perfect. He grabbed a handful of tiny rocks, tossing them slightly at them, one by one. Neither of them noticed at first, they were so engulfed with each other the rocks didn’t even phase them.
That was until, “Are you throwing rocks at us?” Eddie pulled away from Buck, his cheeks bright red, hair even messier than before.
Or
Ravi, Buck and Eddie are all trapped together, feelings are explored and rocks are thrown

Summary
“What are you talking about?” Maddie’s voice asks, slightly tinny.
The door struggles to open behind him and he drops the phone.
“Mads,” he says, panic slinking into every syllable. “I—I think—“
“Buck, come out,” Bobby says. “Please, baby.”
Buck’s stomach turns and he shakes his head. No, absolutely not. That—crime against humanity is what that is. As if lunch hadn’t been traumatizing enough.
“Was that Bobby?” Maddie’s voice is distant but rightfully alarmed.
“Something’s wrong with them,” Buck yells down at the phone. “I—I know I said I can get anyone to fall in love with me but this is not what I meant!”
or, the 118 gets dosed with a love potion.

Bookmarker's Notes
After a call at a brewery, The 118 is affected by a love potion. Everyone fell in love with Buck except for Eddie. Everyone slowly fell in love with Buck acting more and more crazy. Ravi kissed Buck, Bobby almost did it at the station's kitchen and Chim and Hen are fighting each other for his attention. Eddie seemed fine.
It all came to it's head when everyone started chasing Buck around. Buck barricaded himself in the bathroom and he called Maddie to help him. She came back with the potion brewer Candy who made the antidote for everyone. Eddie took it too even though he seemed fine because Candy insisted. When Buck wondered why Eddie was unaffected he remembered something that Candy said, the potion morphs feelings that are already there, if there's no feelings, there's nothing to morph. Buck was hurt to realize that Eddie doesn't even feel a thing for him.
When they got back home at Eddie invited Buck over, Buck felt awful. After one beer, Buck tried to leave and Eddie asked to stay. They haven't even talked about what happened and Buck snapped saying there's nothing to say and it is what it is. Eddie is hurt and tells Buck it's not what he thought would happen when Buck would learn about his feelings. Buck is really confused and Eddie explains that his feelings are not new, the potion made them stronger but Eddie is so used to bury them it didn't affect him that much. Buck tells him he doesn't have to bury his feelings, he can have what he wants with Buck. They kiss.
Two months later they meet Candy again who's really happy to see them together. -

Summary
A familiar voice and face send a wave of cold shock down his body as the next video starts, his eyes widening as he stares at Buck on his screen. ‘Baking While Baked’ is plastered in bold letters across the top of his video, confusion seeping into Eddie’s face.
“Hello, everybody. Welcome back to another video where I bake while being baked,” Buck winks, a sly smile sinking into his cheeks. His eyes are droopy, half-lidded, and red; his cheeks are flushed with a tint of pink, starting to spread across his nose and down his chin. His words come out slow, like honey dripping off his tongue.
“I’m going to try doing ASMR, but the keyword here is try,” a soothing, deep chuckle rumbles through Buck’s chest, spreading warmth over Eddie’s body.
Or where Buck posts videos on tiktok where he bakes while being baked. Eddie stumbles across them and ends up smoking with Buck and being a new addition to the videos. What happens when Eddie realizes something about himself that could put their relationship at risk?

Summary
“What, uh,” Buck says, stopping at the top of the stairs. “What’s going on here?”
Sam steps around the island, grinning, “Hey, man! I made spaghetti to thank everyone for the warm welcome. Want me to make you a plate?”
Warm? Welcome?
For the guy who lied to a room full of bureaucrats who were ready to fire Chimney over it?
A clink of silverware hitting porcelain drags Buck’s confused glare back to the table, as four other sets of silverware follow after it. Like a wind chime of betrayal, ringing the bitter song of the 118’s treachery, their silverware sings with shame.
At least, that’s what it sounds like to Buck.
