Summary
The war has raged for more than a year now and they are all feeling the strain. The work to stop the clone wars has stalled and people are dying, when a sulution walkes into the temple. He doesn't give a name, only an offer. He will give two jedi their memories of years into the future but he gets to choose the jedi. He warns them that the future isn't always what you think and that it will not be easy. He warns they might run into unforseen consequences. The council deliberates but with a desperation for the war to end, agree and they preform the ritual.
When Obi-wan opens his eyes he will find himself in his worst nightmare and greatest wish.

Tim huffs and says, “Yeah sure.” Because he’s not starting a fight with Jason right now.
“What’s that mean?” Jason snaps and great that apparently was still the wrong thing to say.
“Nothing,” Tim dumps the cup he just filled in the sink before he even registers it and he feels a little stupid for it. He stares at the drain for a second before just giving up and setting the glass in the sink. He leans against the counter.

Summary
When the Chief came storming into the station to tell them that Buck would not be coming back, the 118 was in parts glad and worried, because now the younger man would maybe finally go looking for a career that was less dangerous, so they had achieved their goal. Or so they thought. The next words out of the Chief's mouth, however, told them just how much they had messed up if Buck preferred to get shipped to an active war zone and get shot at on a daily basis as compared to working with them or staying in LA. Since they don't know for sure, Buck is both to them. Dead and alive.
