Summary
Shortly after their ecstatic reunion, an unexpected rift settles between Rhys and Vaughn. While seeing Vaughn alive and well fills Rhys with enough happiness for an entire lifetime, Vaughn emotionally withdraws, becoming polite at best and openly scathing at worst. Summary
Vaughn went through his entire first year and a half of college without going to places like this, except for maybe two or three incredibly awkward attempts to socialise in the first few weeks. He’s been just fine without trying it again since, thanks, but now here he is, for the second night this week, after the two times last week. After whole semesters of literally never leaving the campus. And why?
A bright cry of, “You’re here!” flies out from behind the bar once he finally, minus a few compound fractures, reaches the front of the tidal wave of people. The words hit him a split-second before Rhys’ neon grin, and Rhys’ floppy hair, and Rhys’ shirt with the sleeve cut off around his cybernetic arm and the collar stretched down enough to show the beginnings of the tattoos on his chest, the whole handkerchief’s worth of fabric generally clinging obscenely to his body.

Simon paused his kisses. “How did you see this going?”

"Grace, question?” Rocky says from his tunnel.
“Yeah?” I peek my head up, wiping nonexistent dust off my pants. The storage compartment was almost completely sterile, but I needed something to do with my hands.
“All okay, question?” There’s a slight quiver in the notes of his voice that I’ve come to recognize as hesitance.
“Of course, buddy.” I laugh disbelievingly, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Ryland finds Yao’s gun and he is perfectly normal about it, thank you very much. He’s only been stuck in the same environment eating the same meals everyday for a year now. He’s fine.

Summary
After Rocky and Grace land on Erid, Rocky is finally able to reunite with Adrian (though he has a LOT of anxiety surrounding it). He leaves the science team to tend to Grace in his weakened state and unbeknownst to Rocky, they're not as accommodating as promised.
I read the book so there's some cannon from there, but the chase scene in the movie is very compelling. I also really like how the bio-dome is set up in the movie too- so there's a little bit of both! Also I like to jump around POVs, and I mark the changes with lines like this: ------. Hope you enjoy :)
