Summary
The story of "You're Like a Breath of Fresh Air", both from Eugene's and Babe's perspective.
I wrote Eugene's view, then the lovely Lady_Rhaena inspired me to write Babe's.
Eugene can't stand to listen to the cries of his men, knowing he's been instructed to sit back from the patrol. It's when he finds out that someone is drowning that he steps in.

Someone who went all the way to fucking Trenton, New Jersey just to steal one fucking vial of one fucking poison that shouldn’t even exist to begin with, and out of all the people they could’ve hit with it, could’ve slipped it to when they weren’t looking, Patrick was their target of choice.
