“C’mon! We should stick together!”
“Why?” Damon deadpanned, tilting his head.
“Because we’ll always have an alibi, duh!!! Unless you’re the imposter?” Kai replied with a grin.
Damon scoffed. Kai was way too good at this game… It was probably just some sort of influencer thing. Regardless, however, he didn’t want to be voted off just because he refused to stick with Kai. Guess he had no choice.
“…Fine.”

(Chapter 1 Spoilers)
During the day, well, it wasn’t like Kai and Damon hated each other. In fact, Kai was the only person Damon actually seemed to tolerate. Still. Despite that, they weren’t exactly close. How could they be? They had only been there for five days, and neither Damon nor Kai were the easiest people to get to know quickly. So they were acquaintances during the day.
During the night, however…
Well, neither of them would ever tell anyone. For the sake of their egos, there was no way they ever could. But, well… They were affectionate.
It was nothing bad, just innocent cuddling. But still… that was probably even more embarrassing for both of them. While Kai tended to be clingy, he didn’t want to be known as that clingy, and Damon’s pride would be in immediate danger if anybody managed to find out. Despite the risks, however, they couldn’t bring themselves to stop. Despite the amount of betrayal Damon faced and the amount of fear Kai had, their affection was a distraction from the hell they had to endure and would likely keep having to endure.
They may have been fools for trusting each other, but at least they got some small victories out of it.
