Stepping well within Dick’s personal space, Gar laid a hand on his waist.
He slid it around as he stepped in, settling it against the small of Dick’s back. He could feel his back muscles through the layers of fabric, able to feel them bunch as Dick tensed up in surprise. His fingers rested just above Dick’s belt line; high enough to still be classy, yet low enough to send a message.
He pulled Dick in, leaning down slightly so that his lips brushed against Dick’s ear as he talked"

Gar spent a good couple of weeks thinking about what he’d do when he got Bette out of the hospital.
He also put a little too much emphasis, in his calls to his mother, about how she woke up when he was there. They were family, after all. If anyone could bring her back, it was family.
An alternate ending to my other fic where, instead of dying, Bette lives! And things happen afterwards.

Guy Anatole, 34, is a lawyer-turned-stockbroker celebrating his most recent success the way he's always done: a drug-addled, days-long bender. Chasing gossip of a substance that hits unlike any other, Guy finds himself within the walls of a secret club in London.
When he meets Jasper, owner of the club and supposed distributor of the drug, Guy is strangely, starkly reminded of a meeting he entertained once upon a time. A fairytale of a meeting, words like 'vampire' and 'psychic' uttered with no hint of irony.
All Guy wanted was to lose himself; to forget everything he ever was and surrender to a high that takes all his pain away. So why, then, is this alluring, silver-haired stranger ordering Guy to manipulate the stock market to make him an obscene amount of money? Why would he ever agree to so ridiculous a demand?
Perhaps more terrifying: why would Guy ever say no?

After a day of interrogations, her missing person case still felt far out of their reach, and time was marching rapidly on. She was looking for any distraction to give her whirring mind a moment’s rest - any brief moment of comfort she could snatch from her unyielding life.
When Anderson came through the door with a steaming mug of coffee in his hand, she was startled, but not unhappy to see him.
“I thought I was alone,” she said softly, taking in the welcome sight of him, unassuming and steadfast in his warm blue jumper.
“Me too,” he replied, ascending the stairs in a few paces to join her on the dais.
“Why are you here?” she asked, half-hoping that his answer would be something along the lines of 'to fulfil your every desire’.

He’d said something about keeping distance from each other once classes started again, and Guy had looked just like a puppy who’s been told off for chewing at the drywall. Jasper had reasoned they couldn’t be caught making eyes at each other, Guy had pouted and called him paranoid, said something about ‘never would’ve said anything otherwise’ Jasper didn’t quite catch. He’d left Jasper’s apartment after slamming the door in his face.
A fight, he supposes. Jasper doesn’t like it.

Summary
“Do I have your attention?”
Jasper thinks about that moment a lot, more so these days. The truth is that Guy had his attention before then, from moment one. The pup with his cup, outside a place he didn’t belong, doing work he shouldn’t be doing, roped into a world vastly beyond his knowledge and understanding. Some would say Guy was damned from that moment on. Jasper prefers to blame it on the Talamasca, Helen roping this poor boy into the mire.
Or perhaps Guy was doomed at birth, and if that were the case, then so was Jasper. It’s befitting cruelty, that it should take a century for Jasper to play catchup, so their fates could properly intertwine.
