Jareth famously once said that he can be quite generous. Sarah famously did not agree with him on this point.
A short story, set in WWII, examining what the Goblin King's generosity would look like to someone with a very different perspective than Sarah.

Summary
Three glass walls, a lovely wooden chair, a soft yellow light illuminating down from above, and the people peering in.
This is all I’d even known.
100 years ago, when people would die, those with the money, could have their bodies made into dolls. Most of the organics scrapped for robotics but some of the organs and things left behind. Hair, heart, eyes.
They hoped these dolls would become like their lost loved ones. These dolls were crafted to resemble their dead but with all the imperfections smoothed over. Perfect dolls.I was a doll.
I was made 80 years ago and for some unknown reason, I was sent into rest mode and hidden away, placed in a crate and forgotten.
When I woke, I was here, wired into a chair, set up on display for people to view.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is the best crossover I never knew I ever wanted. And it is written BEAUTIFULLY.
