Stiles hesitated for a moment before opening his eyes. He was no longer in the Wichita Mountains. Instead, he sat staring at a familiar stump in a clearing he hadn’t visited in years, feeling the strengthening of his bond to the tree that he’d been ignoring for so long. Stiles lets his head fall back against the tree he’s sitting under and tries to remember what had happened.

But of one thing, weirdly enough, he’s sure.
