There’s a point passed the pain and the fear and the eventuality of the end; a single moment when everything slows to stop; when the flashes of the years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds that made up your life pull away from you, falling further in the depth while a heavy stillness crawls over you, holding onto you as those moments of the life that was yours to live, to cherish, and to suffer fade into a single flicker. The quiet, the emptiness that follows is almost a comfort as you realize that this is it: all the days lived, the smiles had, and the tears shed, all the hurts and all the joy and this, this single moment of nothingness, is it.
The punchline to the cruel joke that was Jackie Taylor’s life, that all the things she thought were important and the things she dismissed as not amounted to the same in the end.

Summary
Batman has potentially the most famous rogue's galleries in comics- Joker, Riddler, Two-Face, and so many others... but this story isn't about Batman and his villains- this story is about loveable underdog, Stephanie Brown (don't fact check the loveable part, just trust me) and between her Spoiler days, brief stint as Robin, and her (so far) shockingly successful time as Batgirl, she's developed her own reoccurring villains! Such as gravity, an awkward relationship with the Wayne family, and of course- the consequences of her own actions!
How long can our heroine completely ignore her past and any lasting impacts it may have left on her mental health? If you ask her, she'd say forever! (She's an optimist now.)
