THIS IS PURE CRACK. AND ABOUT HAMSTERS.
Curiosity causes both Ham 5, and the love of his life, Ham 4, to fall out of the world they’ve always known. Ham 4 dies on impact. This is Ham 5 mourning his death.
Based off a story my friend told me about how her hamsters (genuinely named Ham 4 & 5) fell out of her sixth story window and both died, one of fall damage and the other of car.
I wrote this at 3 am because my first thought after she told me the story was “I’m going to give these hamsters emotions and write a ridiculously dramatic version of it in which I put a potato-shaped rodent through the five stages of grief cuz why not.”
If this fic gets enough hits, which I doubt, I’ll write chapter 2 and Ham 5’s unfortunate demise by car.- Language:
